A CIVILIZED & INFORMATIVE EVENING OF ART HISTORY

Our next ‘Art History Film Night’ will be showing a remarkable BBC documentary depicting the story of ‘THE PARISIAN AVANTE GARDE ART & ARTISTS’ of the late 1800’s – early 1900’s.
This was the ground breaking era of PICASSO – MATISSE – CHAGALL – RENOIR – BRAQUE – DALI – PISSARO – HEMINGWAY – and all the greats, along with the story of how ‘Gertrude Stein’, the Jewish art collector, was patron to them all.

Important Message from Splashout Proprietor: Krystyna Ciesiolkiewicz:
“Of all the documentaries about Art that I have seen, or that we have shown here at Splashout, this has got to be one of the most informative and amazing!  It tells in photos and video (with a fabulous narration) the entire and fascinating story of how the new ‘modern’ form of art was born, developed and launched onto the international art scene.  This one is an absolute must” !
