ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Kate is a passionate Adelaide based wildlife artist.

Her career has been in neuroscience and data-based science.

Kate has fostered her artistic expression throughout and has held painting classes and assisted in the organization of exhibitions.

She focuses on the creation and depiction of detailed realistic Australian birds using the flow and layering of semi-transparent acrylic paints to create texture and depth in the bird’s plumage.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In this Workshop, Kate will explain the structure of the eye, followed by a range of exercises and techniques that will culminate in the completion of a painted owl to take home.
