In this workshop we will focus on creating a highly magnified, enlarged flower head with all it’s detail, replicating the style used by Georgia O’Keeffe.
During her career Georgia created the most valuable artwork sold by a woman artist. You will have the opportunity to create your own ‘Georgia O’Keeffe’ style artwork under Krystyna’s high skilled, fully qualified instruction.
ABOUT GEORGIA O’KEEFFE
Georgia Totto O’Keeffe (1887 – 1986) was an American artist who was best known for her paintings of very large flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes.
O’Keeffe has also been recognized as the “Mother of American modernism”.
In our workshop, we will show you a fabulous slideshow of Georgia’s most significant works and share a little of her history and the inspirational story of how this woman became one of the most admired artists of our time.
During the workshop Krystyna will lead you through a process of transferring a highly magnified flower head onto your large canvas, where you can proceed to create a magnificent piece with multiple layers of paint.
You will have full use of the entire ‘Splashout workshop kits’ (oils and acrylics) so no need to hold back. You will also be working on a large quality canvas, so let’s get expressive !
