About the Workshop

Austrian born Gustav Klimt 1862 – 1918 was known for his highly decorative paintings.

In this workshop, Rivers of Pattern, we will be exploring, designing and completing a painting emulating the decorative motives of Klimt’s work.

Looking at his use of patterns which are vibrant, bold, intense and colour filled, we will focus on the infinite possibilities available to us and be inspired by the uniqueness of his work that continues to inspire.
