2019 GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
Splashout Art Studios & Gallery is proud to announce that they are partnered with and are official sponsors for the ‘Marilyn Jetty Swim Team’.
The Marilyns are a group of bold, fabulous women who take part in the Brighton Jetty Classic, swimming or padding 400m around the Brighton Jetty every February – all dressed head to toe as our favourite 50s icon – Marilyn Monroe. Particularly fabulous, is that they do it all to raise much needed funds for Cancer Council SA.
2019 will see the Marilyns break the Guinness World Record for “THE LARGEST GATHERING OF PEOPLE DRESSED AS MARILYN MONROE”. We are asking you to join us on the morning of Sunday 3 February 2019 at Brighton Beach to help them achieve this record.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET WET OR SWIM AROUND THE JETTY. THE COUNTING WILL BE DONE ON DRY LAND. IMPORTANT: to break the World Record, the number of participants has to be 300 people. All we have to do is meet at Brighton dressed in a Marilyn white frock and blonde wig. We then march with the Marilyns and the SA Royal Navy Band down to the Esplanade for the final head count. (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SWIM)
