PROJECT 4 – THE COLOUR GREEN

This is the fourth ‘General Painting’ project (2 weeks).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

– Sketch pad
– Charcoal
– A surface to paint on: canvas , primed ply (wood) or primed cardboard if necessary (best primed with acrylic paint or Gesso)
– Oil Paints:
Raw sienna
Cadmium yellow
Lemon yellow
Prussian blue
Cobalt Blue
Cerulean Blue
Cadmium Red
White
Black

Your first assignment is to create one suite (one set) of 33 colour swatches of your own.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

IMPORTANT: Remember you have a choice of either a landscape or a still life set up that you create yourself.

Assignment 1:  Send in a photo of your suite of colour swatches to:  art@splashout.net.au
Tutors will give quick feedback.

Assignment 2:  After receiving Tutor feedback on your colour mixing, please proceed with your drawing composition and email in for feedback.

Assignment 3:  Send in your photo of the completed painting when finished.
THE PROJECT IS TIMED AS A 2 WEEK EXERCISE.
Tutors will give speedy and thorough feedback.
