Intermediate Drawing & Painting – Project 4 (1 week)

This fourth project commences with an ‘overview’ from Splashout Proprietor and creator of this course, Krystyna Ciesiolkiewicz.

Please watch and listen to Krysia talk about the ‘colour wheel’ which is the basic essence of all things colour in relation to art.

Colour Mixing

In this video, Krysia explains in detail how to carry out the process for mixing an abundance of hues from 3 basic primary colours.

Remember it only takes the tiniest amount of saturated colour to change your tints, shades and tones, so please step lightly when picking up your colours with your palette knife.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

STEP 1:
Following the process as shown by Krysia, create your own colour chart using the step by step instructions to create saturated colours, tints, shades and tones (a tone is a colour mixed with black and white).
